Femestim wins Bionow Healthcare
Project of the Year award 2010
Femestim, a novel disposable ‘tampon like’ electro stimulation device for the treatment
of urinary incontinence was developed as a joint venture between MIMIT, the University
of Manchester, Central Manchester Healthcare Trust and Femeda (a UK based SME). Professor
Oldham, Director of MIMIT and joint inventor accepted the award on behalf of the
collaborative team at the Bionow award dinner held at Mere Golf Club on November
12th 2010. Professor Oldham received the award from Mr Keith Chantler, Executive
Director of TrusTECH.

Femeda achieves ISO 13485 Accreditation

Femeda has reached another milestone
in its plans to produce the Pelpon. Femeda quality system was succesfully audited
by Intertek. This allows Femeda to manufacture medical devices, for sale in the EU.
Having
an accredited quality system will be a large benefit to the company.
